SevenLetters (sevenlettersdaily.com) is a word game. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
What we collect
Your game account. When you first open the app we create a guest account for you, so your puzzles, scores and history are saved. It's tied to your browser by a session cookie.
Your Google profile, if you sign in. If you choose “Sign in with Google”, we receive your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture link. We use them to show who's signed in and to keep your history across devices. We don't get your Google password or access to anything else in your Google account.
Your settings. We save your chosen color theme with your account so it follows you across devices.
Your games. For each puzzle we store the board and tiles we dealt, the play you made, its score and rank, the best possible play, and when you played. This powers your history and stats.
Usage analytics, only if you accept. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the game is used. It records the pages you visit and game events, such as the game mode you choose, puzzle results (scores, times and whether hints were used), and sign-ins. It also records general device and location information that Google derives from your connection. If you decline, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and the page requested) for a limited time to run the service and keep it secure.
Cookies and local storage

Who else processes data
- Render hosts the app and its database.
- Google provides sign-in (if you use it), Google Analytics (if you accept it), and the web font the app uses. Loading the font means your browser connects to Google's servers.
These providers may process data in countries other than your own.
How long we keep it
Your account, profile and game history are kept until you delete them. Guest accounts that never played a puzzle are deleted automatically after 30 days of inactivity. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.
Your choices
- Delete your data: in the app, open the account menu (top right) and choose Delete my data. This permanently deletes your account, profile and game history.
- Analytics: you can change your choice at any time below.

Children
SevenLetters isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
